Ankara'nın Gölbaşı ilçesinde , 66 milyon yıl önce Tetis Denizi kıyısında yaşamış Gastropoda fosiline ulaşıldı.
Ankara'nın Gölbaşı ilçesindeki Külhöyük kazılarında, 66 milyon yıl önce Tetis Denizi kıyısında yaşamış Gastropoda fosili keşfedildi. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanı Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, 5 bin yıllık Hatti ve Hitit kentinde bulunan fosile ilişkin, "Fosilin, binlerce yıl önce Külhöyük sakinleri tarafından yerleşime taşınmış olabileceği değerlendirmesi ise keşfi daha da dikkat çekici kılıyor" ifadelerini kullandı.
